It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of Greater Manchester Academies Trust. The Trust was formed in September 2015 when the two schools involved in its foundation shared the same aspiration for all students, irrespective of background or ability and shared the same moral purpose to mitigate disadvantage for it students. The work of all of us in the Trust is to serve the educational interests of our students in becoming successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
It is my privilege to lead a Trust that is absolutely committed to supporting our Academies in improving the education and life chances for all of our young people by mitigating disadvantage for both the students and the communities we serve. This commitment lies at the very core of our mission, which seeks to ensure that our Academies our truly inclusive and provide the very best education to every one of our students, supporting them in being the very best that they can be and fulfilling their given potential.
It is the Trust’s belief that every young person will achieve, be cared for and enjoy learning and we will achieve this by being true to our vision and values. Students within our Trust are supported by the most committed and dedicated team of staff, who are absolutely determined to support our young people in achieving their aspirations. Our staff are united behind this mission, and the opportunities for our people to collaborate and share expertise is at the heart of our strategy for supporting improvements within our Academies and mitigating disadvantage from the communities we serve.
In order to deliver on our mission, the Trust is absolutely focussed on its investment in its staff, ensuring that all of our people have the very best opportunities to develop professionally and to progress. I am proud and excited to have the opportunity to work alongside our team of professionals in delivering our mission for the benefit of all of our young people.
